David never went back or withheld from praising the Lord. The amount of Praise that David sent to God is unmatchable. He rose up in praise every time life pushed him down.
“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O Most High; To show forth Thy loving kindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness every night.”
Psalm 92:1 & 2
Most of the prophets though they speak to trials and tribulations that lash out at the people of Israel and Judah, have always exalted the name of the Lord and thanked him for his kindness then the times of captivity and how God is a gatherer and preserver for his promise to King David is kept regardless of how the people might have changed, his mercy endureth forever.
The most unexpected praise in the Old Testament comes from King Nebuchadnezzar.
“Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven; for all His works are right and His ways are just; and those who walk in pride He is able to abase.” Daniel 4:37
When a gentile can understand the power of praise and rise up to praise the Lord and testify to his greatness we should take heed and do the same.
